GLOBELICS: GLOBal network for Economics of Learning, Innovation and Competence-building Systems
GLOBELICS 2005 Africa seeks to mobilise international academic and intellectual resources towards the objective of enhancing the quality of research and knowledge on the issues related to learning, innovation and competence-building systems. The conference is specifically orientated in support of processes aimed at ensuring the sustainability of Africa's revival, growth and development.
GLOBELICS is a worldwide network of scholars, academics, intellectuals, policy-practitioners and activists drawn from the disciplines of social, political and economic sciences. This network is connected through regular meetings at sectoral and geographic levels and through a web-based infrastructure. GLOBELICS organises a major conference on an annual basis whilst also hosting an advanced international research training program for Doctoral candidates.
GLOBELICS 2005 AFRICA is supported by South Africa's Department of Science and Technology, (letter of support by Mr Mosibudi Mangena, South African Minister of Science and Technology); the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Tshwane University of Technology's Institute for Economic Research on Innovation.
Daily conference fee: R 300 per day, per delegate.
